Betty's: "Passage at North"
*”Passage at North”, Betty, Milan, 2006.
I would like to introduce my second pick from Betty's vast gallery of paintings: maybe a Scandinavian fjord intersecting with the North Sea or, even, a landscape of iridescent volcanic lava and its solid residues floating around.
Despite its still visible brightness, the Sun seems to slowly give in to the sinister presence of the surrounding forces, merged in conspiracy. Suddenly all we can see are just a grey revengeful windy sky and black jagged strips of land unravelling to show a secret passage to a dark dimension.
Winter is all around, yearning desperately for the regain of its lost powers.
